In this mood board, it was about a crime scene. I chose it to create a sense of action and drama. I wanted my audience to assume that my character is a forensic scientist, at the scene to do his job. I wanted the audience to feel the sense of intenseness and curiosity of what went down.

In this mood board, it was about a circus. I chose it to create an exciting atmosphere. I wanted my audience to assume that my character is a clown, who is doing his job of entertainment. I wanted the audience to feel the sense of happiness and simple pleasures.


In this mood board, it was about a baseball game. I chose it to create a competitive, entertaining atmosphere and because I like baseball. I wanted my audience to assume that my character is a baseball player, who is ready to win the game. I wanted them to feel excited and cheerful to watch the game.
In this mood board, it was about Paris. I chose it as it looks peaceful and beautiful. I wanted my audience to assume that these characters are having dinner, enjoying their time together. It should have made the audience feel peaceful and accompanied.


This mood board was about a park. I chose it as it seems peaceful. I wanted my audience to assume that these characters are having a conversation together, keeping each other company as they walk through the park. The audience should have felt peace and admire the beauty of nature and company.

Peer Reviews of First Cut Movie Opener

    In the film opening, the technical element I found most enjoyable was the sound. The sound effects of ringing and odd heartbeats definitely added to the phycological suspense the film seems to focus on. The background track was a great pick, as it perfectly added to the creepy and suspenseful. The sudden straight cuts also adds to the insanity and messiness, mirroring the character.  What I found wrong with the film is the costuming of the, seems to be, therapist. Although I do recognize the attempt to make him look formal, he did not seem formal enough. The lighting  of the film was also to bright. For the idea of a suspense, the lighting should have been more darker. The scene in which the protagonist is on the computer, instead of the camera going around her, it would be better as an over the shoulder shot. I do believe that this is an opening. Evaluation of Peer Reviews

Peer Review 1: "The technical element I really liked in the opening is the drone shot that they did. It was really well done and added to the cliffhanger that was necessary to be a continuation clip. Another element of the clip I liked was the closeups of the piano, especially the shot where the piano is being opened.  There was no sound in the video, this took away from the first 40 seconds. Especially since it seems like they are focusing on the playing of the piano within that. Another element is that some shots seem to hold a few seconds too long. This can be seen with the shot at 53 seconds, it seems to hold for about two seconds then it needed to. This did look like a movie opener. This was because of the cliffhanger it was left on. Though with how sudden it was maybe it can be seen as a clip found more later in a film, overall it is a good opener. There were a few things that made me confused in the short. Most important was what was the significant of the first 40 seconds....
