Group Members for Opening Sequence

After much hassle, I managed to get Kristian (who is in another class) to join and John joined. Elizabeth joined later. Kristian quickly started throwing ideas from comedy to tragedy. We settled on a philosophical fiction/drama. Kristian easily became the scriptwriter and director. With his past experience, he was also in charge of sound and editing.  He is also an actor. John and I also wanted to act. Elizabeth joined late so to find her a role, we gave her the voiceover role that was going to be for John. We will all be cameraman. We will be using our phones to record (except for Kristian's because it is too old). I also have a drone that we will use. Because of its piano, we will film at the stage in the school's auditorium and outside of an office building. Kristian and John said that they have the necessary props and costumes, including a briefcase, suit, and coat.

    In the film opening, the technical element I found most enjoyable was the sound. The sound effects of ringing and odd heartbeats definitely added to the phycological suspense the film seems to focus on. The background track was a great pick, as it perfectly added to the creepy and suspenseful. The sudden straight cuts also adds to the insanity and messiness, mirroring the character.  What I found wrong with the film is the costuming of the, seems to be, therapist. Although I do recognize the attempt to make him look formal, he did not seem formal enough. The lighting  of the film was also to bright. For the idea of a suspense, the lighting should have been more darker. The scene in which the protagonist is on the computer, instead of the camera going around her, it would be better as an over the shoulder shot. I do believe that this is an opening. Evaluation of Peer Reviews

Peer Review 1: "The technical element I really liked in the opening is the drone shot that they did. It was really well done and added to the cliffhanger that was necessary to be a continuation clip. Another element of the clip I liked was the closeups of the piano, especially the shot where the piano is being opened.  There was no sound in the video, this took away from the first 40 seconds. Especially since it seems like they are focusing on the playing of the piano within that. Another element is that some shots seem to hold a few seconds too long. This can be seen with the shot at 53 seconds, it seems to hold for about two seconds then it needed to. This did look like a movie opener. This was because of the cliffhanger it was left on. Though with how sudden it was maybe it can be seen as a clip found more later in a film, overall it is a good opener. There were a few things that made me confused in the short. Most important was what was the significant of the first 40 seconds....
